The subject of the project is the implementation of PVGLASS+ for photonic, multifunctional combined glass with the working name PVGLASS+. As the analysis of the state of the art and market offers clearly demonstrate, the project will implement product innovation on a global scale resulting from ML System’s own R & D work. This work consisted of developing a photonic structure of a complex glass with extended versatility of application. The result was a patent application. The product will be implemented into the company’s activities and its characteristics will enable the company to offer a complete product of its own production. The main elements demonstrating product innovation are energy savings through photovoltaic cells used in the product as an energy generator, heating function and the possibility of changing and regulating transparency. Currently, no similar product to the PVGLASS+ module is available on the market in both European and non-European countries. Existing solutions include the use of only one functionality that can be, e.g. heating, the possibility of generating electricity from solar rays or the possibility of adjusting fidelity. The recipients of the product will be both institutional and individual entities, including persons with disabilities. The PVGLASS+ product will be designed for the energy-positive construction sector (BIPV – photovoltaics integrated into the building). It is characterised by a wide range of applications. It can be used both as furnishings for external windows and inside the building as partitions or glass partitions. It is also possible to make a product of unusual shapes and dimensions, which allows ideal replacement of the currently used building glazing.
