This project consists of developing and implementing 2 educational programmes at the University of the Third Age and the Children’s University implemented within our university. The main objective is to activate social and professional activity, prevent social exclusion and stimulate educational and cultural activity of 750 people (including 70 %K), including 300 adults and seniors aged 50+ and 450 school-age children 6-13 years of age. All project activities will be carried out in close cooperation with the NGO and JST – Association of the Free Polish University of Lublin Branch in Lublin, which runs the UTW at the UMCS (Lubelski UTW) and the Lublin City Hall.The implementation of the project will reach the educational offer to non-standard recipients of higher education and in a comprehensive way to respond to the growing problem of ageing society and insufficient level of development of soft and key competences. The project meets the needs of education in key areas for the country and region, as well as the need to strengthen the competences identified in the NCBR reports.Indicators for the project will include the number of people who have increased their competences within the framework of university activities; the number of persons covered by the training programmes in the UTW and the UD; number of children and 50+ persons covered by educational activities, workshops and training within universities, etc.The project complies with the principles of equal opportunities K and M, non-discrimination (including accessibility for people with disabilities) and sustainable development.
