Foreign accreditation

The main objective of this project is to obtain accreditations and certificates by Polish universities of industry committees, which increase the international competitiveness of universities. It is addressed to all universities and primary units representing all areas of education, regardless of the ownership status of the university. The project supports the acquisition of accreditation for individual universities, as well as groups of universities (e.g. accreditation of the same industry organisation). The implementation of this project first includes an analysis of the offer of foreign (in particular, non-European) accreditations and quality certificates. In particular, a catalogue of accreditation and accreditation organisations will be prepared and a list of requirements necessary to be met by Polish universities applying for accreditation will be prepared.Another stage of the project will be the announcement of a call for proposals for financial support for the activities of universities, individual basic organizational units or fields of study aiming to obtain foreign accreditation. The call for proposals will be continuous and will continue until the funds are exhausted. The recruitment will finance the costs of accreditation, the validity of which will be confirmed by an earlier analysis. Applications submitted by HEIs should indicate the type of accreditation applied for by a given institution, accrediting entity, justification for obtaining such accreditation for the internationalisation of higher education and meeting the criteria specified in the conditions for obtaining the accreditation.Depending on the type of accreditation of the institution, the Ministry of Science (in exceptional cases) or one of the accreditation agencies operating in Poland will negotiate with the institution accrediting conditions for accreditation. In the case of successful negotiations, the university or the Ministry of Science (in special cases) will finance the costs of accreditation, including, for example, the certification fee, the costs associated with obtaining certification.
