The project will implement short-term scholarship exchange programmes addressed to PhD students and academic staff. Two calls for proposals will be carried out in academic years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.The scholarship exchange will cover both trips of representatives of Polish universities abroad, as well as arrivals of doctoral students and academic staff to Poland. Such exchange will not only increase the competence of academic staff and thus increase the scientific and research potential of Polish universities, but also to establish international cooperation between participants of the project.The support of NAWA, which will be covered by PhD students and academic staff of universities and scientific units conducting the training, can be used in particular to finance the costs of their participation in short forms of education related to raising competences and qualifications: participation in conferences, summer/winter courses, and workshops. It may also be financed to stay at universities related to: acquiring materials for teaching, academic work, preparing and defending a doctorate, gaining the skills to operate unique research equipment or gain skills related to writing international grant applications.In each recruitmentNAWA will develop assumptions and documentation, and then carry out calls for proposals. The role of NAWA will also be to supervise the implementation of selected projects, financial settlement with universities and the intermediate institution, as well as project evaluation.Universities will be responsible for recruiting participants for trips and arrivals, their implementation, reporting and settlement with NAWA.Academic staff will be responsible for no more than 20 % of participants receiving scholarships.In addition, the project provides for activities enabling the exchange of experience between participants, scholarships and scholarships.
