KADRA – improving the competence of teaching staff at the University of Wrocław in order to strengthen the quality of education at the university

The main objective of the project is to increase the competence of teaching staff by 2019. University of Wrocław (UWr) aimed at strengthening the quality of education at universities, implementing innovative elements of education and strengthening the competitiveness of the University of Warsaw.The project is addressed to the teaching staff of the University of Warsaw, including academic teachers and persons employed under civil and legal contracts for a period of min. durability of the project. It is a staff of 10 departments and interdepartmental units with the highest needs in terms of raising competences. 450 people will be supported, including 270 K and 180 M. The main result of the project will be the improvement of teaching competences by 450 employees of the University of Warsaw.The aim and results will be achieved by carrying out 3 tasks within the project, each corresponding to the type of competence that participants will acquire:1. Improving the competence of staff in the field of innovative teaching skills2. Improving IT skills skills3. Improving the competence of staff in the field of teaching in a foreign language. (Crit. no. 5)As part of each of the tasks, courses (total of 21 types of courses) will be organised, as a result of which the staff will gain competence in teaching innovative methods of work (e.g. design thinking, action research, learning-by-doing), the use of IT tools and multimedia supporting teaching, including the implementation of education in the form of e-learning, as well as linguistic competence to conduct classes in English (crit. 5. The acquired competences will be used by the staff in practice in the course of classes with students at least 1 semester.
