The project involves developing an innovative tool to diagnose individual competences of balancing work and family life based on German solutions and with the support of a German partner. The innovativeness of the solution results from the departure from the static and artificiality of diagnostic procedures, towards a dynamic, process, real-life approach, through the use of outpatient Assessment methods and modern mobile communication methods (2 weeks of data collection in various family and professional situations using a smartphone). In the content/conceptual layer, the innovativeness of the solution consists of changing the adopted perspective and closely related to the possibility of practical action. It is proposed to move away from conflict determinants of family-work relationships to seek individual skills/competences (in different dimensions) to actively balance family and professional life. Such competences can allow for informed shaping of family-work relationships can be supported and educated, so the project has a very practical dimension. It complements collaborative work on coaching support for family-life balance (family-balance-coaching).The solutions will be implemented in KARAN Association in Poland and used in the diagnostic process of families, in particular in the situation of care for dependent persons. In addition, implementation in other willing family clinics and labour market institutions interested in non-commercial use of the tool. Ultimately, the tool can be widely used in family support institutions (councils, terpeutical institutions, mediation including non-governmental ones), HR departments (diagnosis of the balance of employees) as well as labour market institutions or entities working to reconcile life, including family life.
