Project Mon. “Take care of your skin. Support for the national programme of skin cancer prevention in Lubelskie and Podlaskie voivodships" will be implemented by Białostock Centre oncology The main objective of the project is to increase through educational activities the awareness of the target group on skin cancer prevention and self-testing of signs as part of ABCDE control of the skin cancer prevention programme. The project involves recruiting and educating2880 people and conducting dermatoscope/videodermatoscope tests in at least 1920 patients. The project focuses on eliminating important barriers (e.g. psychological, financial, organizational) in access to diagnostic tests, including through educational and organizational activities, such as providing facilities for people with disabilities. Target groups:Group 1 in the field of education: GPs, specialists in health promotion and health education/health educators (which can also be performed by nurses, graduates of adequate medical studies), dermatologists and oncologists. It is assumed that 136 representatives of medical staff will be trained, including at least 40 GPs (20 K/20 M), of which at least 116 people will acquire new competences.Group 2 in the field of education: target group of patients, i.e. professionally active, i.e. people aged 15-64 years, or older, provided they are still active. There are plans to train at least 2880 people (including 1440 women and 1440 men)Group 3 for screening (1920 people). 960K/960M):(a) people aged 50-64,b) people aged 15-49 l. will be able to receive support in case of clear doctor’s recommendations related to the occurrence of risk factors or worrying marks,(c) people after 65 provided they are still active, they will be able to receive support in case of risk factors or worrying marks.Project value 1002 887.50 PLN, implementation period from 01.09.2019 to 31.08.2021.
