Screening using low-dose computed tomography by improving the curability of lung cancer in the Silesian macroregion

The main objective of the project is to implement the Health Policy Programme BN. The National Program for Early Lung Cancer Detection (WWRP) with the help of low-dose computer Tomography (NDTK) – a combination of secondary prevention and primary prevention to improve awareness of lung cancer among the public and health care personnel. The main task of this preventive programme is to improve the detection of lung cancer at an early stage of its development by carrying out appropriate preventive measures in the Silesian macroregion (voivodship: Silesia, Opole, Dolnośląskie) in the years of implementation of the Programme and it is part of the implementation of the objectives of the PO WER in particular in the implementation of the specific objective of Axis V Implementation and development of preventive programmes in the field of diseases affecting adversely affecting labour resources dedicated to people of working age and thematic objective 8 Promoting sustainable and high quality employment and worker mobility. Implementation of the Prevention Programme will consist of the implementation of the educational component addressed to the medical staff: medical staff (pulmonologists, GPs, radiologists), nursing staff and support staff (medical care coordinators) and a medical component consisting of providing health services to persons qualified for the programme (qualification visa for chest NDTK examination, low-dose computed tomography (NDTK) chest, outcome visit after NDTK (to discuss the results of NDTK and further recommendations). The actions described above will be implemented in accordance with the scope of the preventive programme.
