Preparation, testing and implementation of integrated care organisation (OOK) – Stage I Development of integrated/coordinated healthcare models for Poland

The aim of the project is to improve the quality and efficiency of health care in Poland through the introduction of such organisational and medical standards, as well as the model of financing services, which will lead to integration and coordination of currently atomised stages of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. The introduction of the concept of continuity and comprehensiveness of healthcare services, which are one of the criteria for assessing the tenders submitted in the procedure for concluding a contract with the NFZ for the provision of services and introducing a planned systemic change, will increase the quality of healthcare services in Poland. The main result of the project will be the creation of organizational solutions in the health care system, facilitating access to affordable, sustainable and high-quality health services. Main actions: Developing on the basis of international experience models of integrated care, in which basic and outpatient healthcare with elements of prevention will play an essential role.Preparing a publication on the best international solutions on integrated care. Organising a conference to discuss with stakeholders of the health care system the main principles of implementing new solutions.Taking an active educational action aimed at patients and representatives of entities performing medical activities on planned changes involving the introduction of integrated care. The project’s tasks requiring expert knowledge of integrated care at international level will be carried out in cooperation with the World Bank, which carries out its activities around the world.For the first stage of the project preparation, testing and implementation of the integrated care organisation (OOK) to the healthcare system, PLN 6 million is planned.
