The subject of the project is the construction of Park &Ride car parks located at bus stops in 4 towns in Nowa Ruda commune. These will be elements of transport infrastructure, enabling the unlocking of roads in the centre of the town of Nowa Ruda. The aim of the project is to create parking spaces in the vicinity of public transport stops so that people commuting from outside the city of Nowa Ruda (from rural areas) can park on them and use public transport. A complementary element of the project is the construction and modernisation of street and road lighting in towns: Idols and Włodowice. The project shall include the following tasks: 1. Construction of parking lots Park &Ride in towns: Włodowice, Wolibórz, Sokolec and Jugów 2. Construction and modernisation of street lighting in towns: Idols and Włodowice 3. Promotion activities The aim of the project is to reduce low transport emissions in the Nowa Ruda Municipality and the city centre of Nowa Ruda by reducing individual motorised traffic for public public transport. The project will contribute to the wider use of public public transport and reduce the use of passenger cars (reducing individual motorised traffic in the centre of Nowa Ruda). By reducing traffic in the city of Nowa Ruda, CO2, PM10 and ozone emissions will decrease, thereby counteracting climate change and improving air condition. This in turn will help to meet the EU’s air quality standards. The applicant coordinating the project and ensuring its coherence is the Municipality of New Ruda. The project is addressed to a wide range of direct recipients, i.e. residents of Nowa Ruda commune and people coming to the area of Nowa Ruda commune, who will benefit from the created infrastructure.
