The project concerns the revitalisation of the railway line no 292 Jelcz Miłoszyce – Wrocław Osobowice on the section Jelcz Miłoszyce – Wrocław Sołtysowice together with the infrastructure accompanying the line 0.403 to 21.447 km. The length of the upgraded section is 21.044 km. The project will be implemented in Dolnośląskie voivodship, in the WrOF area, in the municipalities of Wrocław, Jelcz-Laskowice and Czernica. The implementation of the investment will mainly contribute to increasing the availability of railways in daily travel to work/school/service places in the WrOF area and in the area of non-agglomeration traffic, including tourism. Increasing the role of rail transport is an action to halt the uncontrolled growth of road transport in order to meet one of the main objectives of EU transport policy, i.e. the pursuit of sustainable transport and mobility. The project will be implemented in partnership in the Municipality of Wrocław, Jelcz Laskowice commune and the commune of Czernica (project partners). The entity responsible for its implementation will be PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. (project leader). The project will be implemented in the formula “design and build”.
