Adaptation of railway line No. 273 to handle passenger services in WrOF through modernisation of the railway stop Wrocław Muchobor

The subject of the project is the modernisation of the railway station Wrocław Muchobor together with accompanying infrastructure, located within LK no. 273 Wrocław Główny-Szczecin Główny, LK nr 757 Wrocław Świebodzki-Wrocław Muchobor and LK No. 758 Wrocław Stadium – Wrocław Muchobor. The project will be implemented in the City of Wrocław, Dolnośląskie Voivodeship, in the area of the Wrocław Functional Area. Works planned within the framework of the project for tracks, switching, new passage under the tracks, facilities for travellers and small architecture, overhead contact line, electricity, teletechnical and traffic control industry, roads and roads and journeys in km 5.032 (only in terms of adaptation to technical and operational conditions resulting from the modernisation of the stop). The scope of the track works for the modernised station for the revitalisation of railway tracks and structures, which means execution in an existing railway structure, construction works consisting of restoration of the original state without altering the existing technical and maintenance parameters, which are: maximum permissible operating speed of railway vehicles, maximum permissible pressures on the railway track, traffic load and construction gauge. The investment for modernisation of the passenger stop does not involve raising the construction parameters of LK no. 273,757,758. The implementation of the investment will significantly increase access to railways, both due to daily commuting to work and school, as well as to handle traffic outside the agglomeration, including tourist traffic. Increasing the role of rail transport is an action to halt the uncontrolled growth of the importance of road transport, which meets one of the main objectives of the EU’s transport policy, i.e. sustainable transport and sustainable mobility. The entity will implement PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. Centre for Investment Implementation with the participation of the Contractor selected as part of the tender
