Copper-Turoszow Oncological Areas – Improving the quality and accessibility of health services for patients with oncological problems by purchasing modern medical equipment and carrying out necessary construction works

The main objective of the project is to improve the availability, efficiency and quality of health care in the field of ch. Onko. until 2018 in the area of the region-half of the voivodship, but also the rest of Lower Silesia, through infrastructure investments in Ocology together with other organizational ones. This objective will be achieved by achieving the objectives in detail. In 2016, after a two-year analysis, a cooperation agreement was concluded between two hospital units from Zgorzeleca (WSSPZOZ) and Lubina (MCZ S.A.). The agreement concerns the joint preparation and implementation of a project which will contribute to improving the reporting of prophylaxis and detection of cancer in the early stages of disease. Another reason for the implementation of the project is the desire to open a specialised treatment centre ch. onko. digestive system, which will be the most innovative unit of this type in the country. The project started in January 2014 through the construction of oncology axis in Zgorzelec and continuous retrofitting with s. medical. The project will in particular cover the purchase of Diagn apparatus. The project will be completed in 2018-09-07. Contractors/procurement suppliers will be selected in accordance with the principle of competitiveness or the PHP Act. The project carried out an analysis of the need for oncology services, which results in a strong need for this project due to the dramatic situation of cancer patients. All indicators concerning the quality of treatment of oncological diseases compared to Europe and even to other regions of Poland are at significantly lower levels. The implementation of the project will significantly improve the availability of diagnostics and treatment services, but the quality of the services provided will also increase. The project will influence the development of integrated and environmental care model through the use of the oncology package. Coordination will also be applied in the cooperation of two hospital units.
