Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. In Dolnośląskie voivodship, the incidence of breast cancer has tripled over the last thirty years. This situation has a negative impact on the labour market – the later the cancer is diagnosed, the less chance of recovery and resumption of working life. The project aims to increase the availability in the Jelenio Góra subregion to the “Population Early Breast Cancer Detection Programme” in order to enable early detection and treatment of this cancer, which will translate into prolonging labour market participation of women over 50 years of age. Greater accessibility will be achieved through the implementation of information, promotion and education measures aimed at both women and men in their environment, as well as the use of a range of tools to increase access to research: — adapting the conditions of research and transport to research for people with disabilities, – providing care for dependent persons, – ensuring access to the survey. Planned to achieve the key result indicator: ‘Number of people who, thanks to ESF intervention, volunteered for a preventive study’ – mammography: 5,270 women.
