Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is one of 16 Polish voivodships located in the north-central part of the country. It occupies an area of 17972 km², which accounts for 5.7 % of the area of Poland and is inhabited by 2.1 million inhabitants, i.e. 5.4 % of the population. It was created by the Act of 24 July 1998 approximately from the former voivodships: Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Włocław. The voivodship consists of 19 powiats and 4 cities with powiat rights: Bydgoszcz, Grudziądz, Toruń, Włocławek. There are 52 cities in the province. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is characterised by an attractive geographical location, with a good transport network covering motorways and national roads. Within the voivodship there is an airport in Bydgoszcz, which contributes to the economic development of the voivodship as a place to create and facilitate the establishment of foreign contacts of foreign companies. The high level of unemployment and the low level of competitiveness of the local economy, which significantly affects the quality of life of residents, caused that initiatives promoting pro-export attitudes were undertaken. The aim of the project is to increase the level of foreign trade in the SME sector and to build the economic brand of the voivodship so that it effectively competes on international markets, as a result of which the voivodship will become more recognisable on the map of Poland and Europe. The project will be implemented in partnership with Toruń Regional Development Agency. The project leader will be Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The subject of the project is the participation of Leader, Partner and regional entrepreneurs in foreign and domestic economic missions, trade fairs, exchanges and national events of an international nature: festivals, forums and congresses. In addition, the project also provides for the organisation of incoming missions, among others: United States of America, China, India, Belarus, Scotland.
