The subject of this project is a deep and comprehensive modernisation of three public utility buildings located in the Grudziądz commune, i.e. the OSP building in Szynyu and two buildings belonging to the School Complex in Sands. These buildings are characterised by low thermal insulation, which directly reduces the comfort of users of the facilities (SP volunteers, pupils, teachers and administrative staff of the Piaski School Complex). In order to maintain an appropriate temperature inside the buildings, it is necessary to generate an annual amount of thermal energy in the amount of approx. 1.945,42GJ. These objects are currently based on individual heat sources based on coal, i.e. an environmentally friendly source. As a result of deep thermo-modernisation of the abovementioned buildings, consisting primarily of: insulation of external walls, stropodachów, floor (ZS building) and partial replacement of window and door carpentry will increase their energy efficiency by 68.5 % for the OSP facility in Szynyu, by 72.9 % for the ZS building in Piaski and by 89.3 % for the technical and economic building belonging also to the School Complex. The project also provides for the exchange of heat sources for the above-mentioned public buildings into more environmentally friendly (biomass boiler – CSP, two gas boilers – ZS). As a result, CO2 emissions to the atmosphere will be reduced by about 90.93 %, PM 10 emissions in the OSP building will be reduced by 95.24 %, and PM 10 emissions will decrease by 99.95 % in ZS facilities. Higher thermal insulation will allow the municipality to reduce energy expenditure in the municipal budget.
