This project concerns the construction of a bicycle path along Szosa Toruńska Street in the city of Grudziądz. The budget of the project shall include: execution of project documentation, preparation of a grant application, feasibility study, construction works, investor supervision and indirect costs settled in a lump sum. The investment is part of the type of projects to be co-financed under Measure 3.4 Sustainable urban mobility and the promotion of low-carbon strategies, Schema: Construction and reconstruction of bicycle paths within the framework of territorial policy. The project responds to the problems and needs identified therein, including the main problem: insufficient availability of public transport services, including cycling services in the city of Grudziądz.The main objective of the project is to develop efficient forms of non-motorised transport in the city of Grudziądz.The actions planned by the Applicant will help to reduce the traffic volume of motor vehicles, reduce CO2 emissions from the transport sector, improve the quality of the environment, improve the level of safety of road users, increase the tourist and recreation potential of the city and integrate the public transport system with pedestrian transport. The development of the bicycle path system is an important aspect in the field of communication integration which contributes to increasing the transport accessibility of the city of Grudziądz, the Grudziądz county and the entire Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. Pursuing a coherent communication policy will improve the competitiveness of the local economy, increase the mobility of residents of the entire functional area, which will result in increased professional activity and the development of local entrepreneurship. The results obtained in the project are directly in line with the objectives set out in the SZOOP RPO of the JCC-P for the period 2014-2020 for Priority Axis 3 Energy Efficiency and low-carbon economy in the region.
