“Development of sustainable collective transport through improved energy efficiency, implementation of low-carbon technologies in Włocławek as part of the BIT – CITY II project – stage I”

The scope of the project is: purchase of rolling stock i.e.: 3 zero-emission buses, extension of the bus loop/bay in the “Bikeamp;Ride” system in the city on ul. Oak (i.e. location of 2 parking spaces for buses, change of pavement structure and location of the pavement by the loop, installation of a new stop shelter, construction of the “Bikeamp;Ride” car park, which is a functionally separated area where bicycle stands with a roof of 10 pieces will be placed) together with the area lighting and providing access to the parking lot “Bikeamp;Ride” from the network of roads and bicycles. The project also includes the introduction of a traffic management system (ITS) in the city, i.e. the installation of stationary ticket machines in 3 city transfer points, Dynamic Passenger Information (DPI), whose action is to supervise the traffic traffic in real time of public transport buses, install cameras at intersections of streets, which will enable vehicle identification and facilitate traffic management decisions, improve its safety and help identify other details in the operation of uniformed services. The planned project is a response to the identified needs of the City of Włocławek, as well as its residents in terms of the transition to a zero-emission economy, in the transport sector and in improving the environment, and thus improving the quality of atmospheric air. The implementation of the project will primarily serve to improve the functioning of public transport in the city of Włocławek. The above actions will result in an increase in interest in public transport by residents of Włocławek, which will have many positive effects both in terms of the environment, as well as social and economic life.
