Construction of bus lane in street. Danzig on the section from ul. Recreational to the bus loop “Thoughts”

The existing road system of Bydgoszcz within the street. Gdansk is underdeveloped, which has a significant impact on the accessibility of the area, both external and internal, and causes delays in public transport. As a result of the project, the importance of public transport in the city’s communication structure will be increased through the extension of ul. Danzig on the section from ul. Recreational to the bus loop “Msęcinek”, consisting of the construction of additional lanes for public transport bus traffic along with the necessary reconstruction of the road system. Designed on both sides of the existing street. Danzig bus belt with a length of approx. 1.35 km is designed to improve the traffic of buses and increase the transport accessibility of tram lines, which start their course on the “Las Gdański” loop, located on Recreation Street. The scope of the project also includes the reconstruction of the bus loop “Msęcinek”, the construction of infrastructure for public transport, the necessary reconstruction of the road system and the associated and technical infrastructure, the non-convenience connection of the bus loop “myslęcinek” with the parking lot at the park and from the street. This task is also aimed at improving the project carried out under the OPIiŚ 2007-2013 “Construction of an integrated transport hub Bydgoszcz Leśna” by shortening the time of bus transport from the northern part of the functional area (Osielsko commune). The presence of the bus lane will be of particular importance for the operation of transport during mass events from the Forest Park of Culture and Leisure “Mysęcinek” and on weekends. The project is expected to reduce emissions as a result of an increase in the number of transfers from an individual vehicle to urban transport. The project’s applicant is the City of Bydgoszcz, and it will be implemented by its budget unit – the Municipal Roads and Public Communications Administration in Bydgoszcz.
