The project will be implemented as part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship for the years 2014-2020, submeasure 6.4.1. Revitalisation of urban areas and their functional areas under the ITI. The object of the project is to develop the area of the public space of the Old Market Square and adjacent streets within the central area of the Old Market Square (the area of public city square) in Bydgoszcz, designated by the ring of extension of the streets: Farna, Niedźwiedziej and Jan Kazimierz, together with the outfield in front of the Town Hall building, as part of the revitalisation of public spaces. The investment will strengthen the public space of the Old Market economic function and restore the social function, including cultural and recreational functions, which will improve the quality of social and public services and improve the conditions for doing business in the degraded area. The investment is prestigious, representative – it is a continuation and closure of previous revitalisation activities in the surroundings, an impulse for the creation of new services, but above all a wide space for social integration of residents. The project is comprehensive, i.e. it includes the necessary infrastructure activities connected with the ordering of the public space of the Old Market, i.e. in the field of spatial and functional spheres and activities in the field of social sphere. In this respect, the project is integrated into the project BN. Integrated project of social action in urban space. The period of implementation of the investment was planned for the years 2010-2019. The total value of the project is PLN 17 270 915.87 gross, the eligible costs of the investment amount to PLN 15 875 529.28. The project is included on the list of main projects, included in the Municipal Programme for the Revitalisation of the City of Bydgoszcz 2023+, which is included in the List of revitalisation programs of the Woj.
