The aim of the project is to increase the participation of people of working age in preventive programs, rehabilitation and health care. The project concerns the implementation of a preventive programme for early detection of colorectal cancer for people at risk of occupational cessation and information activities increasing applications for prophylactic examinations. The project is addressed to people living in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship with special attention to the so-called “white spot” areas in the field of prevention of colorectal cancer. “White spots” are areas considered insufficiently covered by cancer prevention. Recruitment will be addressed to residents of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship not covered by the Jelita Grube Cancer Screening Programme, including persons of working age who are at high risk, i.e. those working at risk, i.e. those who are exposed to factors adversely affecting health in the workplace. All actions will also target those who are unemployed for health reasons. The study will be encouraged for people aged 50-65 years, regardless of family history, aged 40-49 with a first-degree relative who has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 25-49 years of age, from families with hereditary colorectal cancer. At the same time, the information materials will aim to make the inhabitants of the region aware of the need to raise their own health potential, reduce the factors of cancer formation and care for early diagnosis, allowing them to take effective treatment, allowing them to continue working life and which can significantly improve quality and life expectancy. The project involves the inclusion of 6300 people, i.e. carrying out preventive colonoscopy tests in 2100 people per year.
