Scientific Head Whack

The aim of the project is to improve accessibility to innovative technologies in schools, develop students’ interests in mathematical sciences and increase the number of activities conducted by the project and experiment, thus contributing to the development of logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance and teamwork skills in students. Products of the project – e.g. number of hours of classes with students, trips and meetings, experiments, trainings, consultations. Results of the project – number of students/teachers who have developed competences. The project is addressed to students of Inowrocław commune schools who obtain results from the test and exam lower than the average voivodship (SP in Góra – 55 % -mat., 60 % j.ang., SP in Orłów – 74 % j.ang., G in Sławęcink – 45.8 % – mat., 42.99 % – nature, 48.3 % – j.ang.). The beneficiaries of the project are also teachers who will receive support in the form of training in handling purchased equipment and software, using the project method and/or experiment in teaching. Classes in programming, robotics, Geogebras, language conversations, natural laboratories, mathematics and natural science classes (project methods and experiments) were planned. In addition, there are planned visits to the science centre, workshops, cooperation with the university, running the website by a team of junior high school students as classes developing interpersonal skills. For pupils with special educational needs, consultations, specialised activities using coaching were prepared. The implementation of the project will enable schools to purchase robots for programming classes, computer labs, 3D printers, voting systems, interschool mathematical and natural laboratories and other teaching aids. Organizational and training activities will begin in 2 sq. m. 2017, classes in schools in the 2017/2018 school year, the project will be handled by Cuo Gm. Inowrocław and coordinators on school grounds.
