La regione autonoma di Prešov (PSK), in quanto regione pilota della Slovacchia appartenente al gruppo delle cosiddette "regioni a basso reddito", ha partecipato all'iniziativa della Commissione europea volta a sostenere l'iniziativa delle regioni di recupero (Curi). L'iniziativa Curi ha pertanto concordato e proposto per il PSK una componente "Migliorare l'istruzione e la formazione professionale secondaria" con l'obiettivo generale di aiutare l'ufficio PSK e il dipartimento per l'istruzione PSK a migliorare la qualità e la pertinenza dell'istruzione e della formazione professionale secondaria in modo da soddisfare le esigenze del mercato del lavoro nel PSK e identificare e utilizzare efficacemente i fondi dell'UE. The aim was to prepare the region for the implementation of the necessary reforms of secondary vocational education and training as a matter of priority through the implementation of pilot projects in the five selected CES. The main objective of the presented NP “Improving secondary vocational education in the Prešov Self-Governing Region” is, in particular, to connect the education system to the needs of the labour market and to increase the involvement of employers in the creation and innovation of the content of education, to support the establishment of partnerships between secondary vocational education providers and employers, to improve the formulation of strategies and educational policies at the level of the regional self-government of PSK. The plan is to implement the following professional activities at selected SOŠ:vzdelávanie of educational and professional staff, including masters of VET, innovation of school education programmes reflecting the current needs of the regional labour market, the development of training strategies and education policies at the level of the regional self-government of the PSK.
