O objetivo do projeto é a reconstrução com a extensão de DW 254 do km 13+ 280 para o km 22+ 400. Este troço é a segunda fase do troço Brzoza-Barcin indicado no Plano de Coesão para os Transportes Rodoviários e Ferroviários entre a Cujávia e a Pomerânia 2014-2020. O projeto é executado segundo a fórmula «conceção e construção». O âmbito das atividades inclui, nomeadamente: reinforcement of the ground floor, removal of the humus layer, earthworks, demolition of existing road surfaces, construction of new pavement structures, reinforcement of the surface structure to load 115 kN/axle, construction of groundsides reinforced with mechanically stabilised aggregates stabilised at a width of 0,5 m, renovation of existing culverts and construction of new culverts, reconstruction and construction of intersections with change of geometry, correction of side inlets and new traffic organisation, reconstruction and construction of autob bays, construction of acoustic screens, reconstruction and construction of pavements, construction of bicycle paths, construction of exits, installation of steel protective barriers, horizontal and vertical markings, protection and reconstruction of existing foreign equipment, construction/reconstruction of illumination system, construction/reconstruction of drainage system and others, environmental protection – crossings for animals, protective and guiding fences and other elements resulting from environmental decision.
