O objetivo do projeto previsto é implementar a Iniciativa de Dados Abertos da Lituânia. With the adoption of Directive 2003/98/EC on the re-use of public sector information and Directive 2013/37/EU amending Directive 2003/98/EC on the re-use of public sector information, the European Commission has set the objective of exploiting the potential of re-use of information by European Union countries to create added value in the fields of the economy, innovative technologies and services, the social sphere, public administration, etc. In Lithuania, the above-mentioned EU Directives have been transposed into national law by adopting the relevant amendments to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the right to receive information from State and municipal institutions and bodies (hereinafter ‘the Law’) and to the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Management of State Information Resources.
