O objetivo do projeto «Polónia para Investigadores» (a seguir designado por «projeto») é criar um potencial serviço digital em linha Polona para Investigadores (a seguir designado por «serviço PDN») com um elevado nível de maturidade, o que melhorará significativamente o trabalho dos cientistas, em especial o trabalho com materiais de base, e melhorará significativamente o acesso aos resultados dos trabalhos científicos. O projeto proporcionará uma plataforma moderna e universal para a comunicação entre os participantes em projetos de investigação, que utilizam objetos digitalizados na sua investigação. Serão introduzidas soluções para identificar projetos de investigação individuais e interagir com os mesmos. O E-PDN fornecerá novos recursos baseados em serviços e recursos de mais de 3 milhões de publicações atualmente fornecidas pelo Digital Repository BN (RCBN).
