Streamlining of distribution infrastructure through investments in the main power stations: Modernisation of the 110/15 kV Wieluń station to ensure the possibility of RES connection

The subject of the project is the reconstruction of the transformer station GPZ Wieluń in accordance with the applicable PGE Distribution standards. GPZ Wieluń – the only 110/15 kV station in the city of Wieluń powered by two 110 kV lines Trębaczew – Wieluń and Złoczew – Wieluń and the third 110 kV line from Wieruszów, which links the power network PGE Dystrybucja SA to the Energa Operator SA network. The project involves the conversion of 110 kV switchgear into a two-system system, which significantly increases the safety and flexibility of the 110/15kV station, with the installation of modern, entirely remotely controlled devices allowing for full control of the operation of the facility and quick response in the event of a failure and the installation of two 110/15 kV – 40 MVA transformers on new, clean stations, which will increase the possibility of connecting new customers and ensure environmental protection New transformers will be equipped with cabinets monitoring the work of transformers, enabling the implementation of the functions of smart grids, especially in the field of ongoing monitoring and assessing the condition of devices. In the vicinity of the transformer station there will be two publicly accessible charging stations for electric vehicles. As a result of the project, the following functionalities of smart electricity infrastructure (10 Smart Grid functionalities) will be implemented.
