Increase Energy Performance for blocks of dwellings in Sector 4 of Bucharest – CPE 1

The general objective of the financing application is to increase energy efficiency for 10 residential buildings (ten blocks of dwellings) in Sector 4 of Bucharest Municipality and to improve the living conditions of their tenants, to promote a more resource-efficient, greener, more competitive economy through smart energy management, with sustainable development. The importance of the investment target stems from the need to reduce heating costs for the population, in particular low-income households/households, which will lead to improved purchasing power of disadvantaged social groups. The general objective is relevant to the objective of Priority Axis 3-Supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, Investment Priority 3.1 – Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and the use of renewable energy in public infrastructure, including public buildings and the housing sector, through which specific objectives must be achieved, targeting their effects on citizens’ lives, the economy and the environment. The implementation of energy efficiency measures for residential buildings/housing blocks will improve the living conditions of the population by: — Improvement of indoor comfort conditions; — Reducing energy consumption; — Reduction of maintenance costs for heating and consumption of domestic hot water; — Reducing pollutant emissions from energy production, transport and consumption.
