Construction and modernization of the intelligent power grid at the Skarżysko-Kamienna Branch of PGE Dystrybucja S.A.

The project fits in with the Type of design rules of the competition - [construction and modernization of the intelligent power grid at all voltage levels (code 053)]. The benefits of the project will be: increasing the energy efficiency of electricity transmission/distribution, creating better conditions for the development of electro-mobility and increasing the level of reliability of energy supply. The project implements smart grid functionalities that contribute to the development of RES and electro-mobility. The project provides opportunities to build energy communities including energy clusters/cooperatives by strengthening the grid infrastructure and increasing the potential for new users. In order to fully exploit the potential of smart electricity grids, the project also envisages education and information and promotion activities to raise citizens’ awareness and fulfil the principle of the right to information and knowledge. Support for the project is aimed at the construction, reconstruction/modernization of power lines at all voltage levels, power stations serving the possibility of better integration of RES into the grid. The project fits into the thematic areas of the competition and demonstrates as a benefit: additional capacity of new sources of energy (possibility to connect resulting from electro-mobility, increasing the energy efficiency of e.e. distribution (reduction of network losses, implementation of smart grid functionalities contributing to the development of RES, improvement of security of supply, greater resilience to changing climatic conditions and aesthetics of space, reduction of CO2 emissions from energy). Material scope of the project: [construction and modernisation of the line network]. The financial scope of the project includes direct costs of construction works, information and publicity costs and indirect costs settled on a flat-rate basis (up to 7% of eligible costs). The project requests support for 10 investment tasks. Net value of the project: PLN 103018983.74. Eligible expenditure – PLN 103018983.74, grant PLN 81415902.85. The project was not completed at the date of submission of the application. The life cycle of the project for the investment covered by the application covers different phases, including: the pre-investment phase (formal and legal preparation of investments, design studies, administrative decisions), the investment phase (selection of contractors and conclusion of contracts for implementation, implementation of tasks based on implementation schedules – construction stages, completion and final acceptance for commissioning and operation); the exploitation phase (increased potential, possibility of connecting new users to the network), the final phase of the project (final settlement of support, durability control and confirmation of the implementation of the assumed effects). The objective of the project is in line with the specific objective of the action: development of smart energy systems and networks and energy storage systems outside the trans-European energy network). The path to achieving the target are output indicators reflecting the effects of the physical scope (length of new networks 119 km, length of upgraded networks 28 km, digital management systems for smart energy systems 1 pc), while the achieved targets are defined by result indicators (new users connected to smart energy systems in the year 90 pc). The project will be implemented to the full extent presented in the application, in accordance with the Grant Agreement and its annexes, with due diligence in accordance with the principle (n+2). The implementation of the project has the effect of increasing the level of environmental protection, increasing the use of oze in the energy mix. The entity managing the infrastructure created will be the applicant company. The project guarantees a shelf life of 5 years. The project contributes to the implementation of the PEP2040 policy
